Pedestrian Plaza Made Permanent

New York’s ambitious experiment to close parts of Broadway to vehicles last summer is here to stay. The city says it’s a success. Businesses and pedestrians enjoy the additional space but the project fell short of its goal to drastically improve traffic in Times Square. Kelly Koopmans examines the effect the plaza is having in Midtown in this week’s Focus.
