Many of the pioneers of the gay rights movement are now senior citizens. Some are alone and need social services. Our New Yorker of the week is helping these people get what they need. Angel Canales reports.

it’s a great thing that sage is doing, offering support and community. bertis should be proud of all he is doing.
It’s great witnessing Bertis interact with SAGE members,staff and volunteers. He’s truly a wonderful and kind caring man.
Thanks to HY, lee chew and Ty Martin. Mr. Shankle is indeed a great person and his work and motivation to help others at SAGE can serve as an example to inspire others.
